Text message confirmations and reminders
NHS Golden Jubilee is rolling out appointment confirmation and reminder text messages in a phased way from December 2024.
Patients who have provided their mobile number will receive a text message:
- Confirming when your appointment has been made or changed
- Reminding you of your appointment 7 days and 2 days before.
The messages will come from NHS Scotland NoReply and will include a prompt to call us on 0141 951 5266 if you are unable to attend.
Rollout plan
- Tuesday 17 December 2024: Orthopeadic Outpatients - text reminders only
Information on the future rollout will be available here in early 2025.
Reminder calls
Patients for all other specialties will continue to receive a reminder call until the service moves to the text message system.
NHS Golden Jubilee uses an automated voice system to remind you about your appointments. This telephone number will display as 0141 951 5000.
We will call you on your preferred telephone number about one week before your appointment or admission.
During this call, we will ask you to confirm that you will be attending your appointment. If you do not confirm your attendance, we will allocate your appointment to another patient.
Please follow the instructions provided during the call.
