Cardiology

Cardiology patient journey - planned admission

If you are attending the Golden Jubilee for a planned cardiology investigation or treatment, you will be given a time to attend the Cardiac Day Unit or Ward 2C in advance of your procedure. Your appointment letter will tell you where and when to come.

We will make every effort to ensure you are not delayed and that you are comfortable throughout your stay. As we also perform urgent/emergency treatments, delays can sometimes be unavoidable.

It is important that you arrange for someone to drive you to the hospital as you will have restrictions on your driving after your procedure. For more information on driving restrictions, please contact your insurance provider.

If you have any changes in your general health for example a cold or influenza, or if you are being treated with antibiotics please call the Cardiac Day Unit for advice.
