WelcoMe
Making your patient experience more accessible
As a specialist and planned care organisation NHS Golden Jubilee is committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients.
We have partnered with WelcoMe to enhance your patient experience and ensure our teams are fully aware of any specific access and communication requirements you have before you come to the hospital.
You can set up a free account on the WelcoMe website to fill in your personal profile information and book a visit that matches your appointment or procedure.
WelcoMe can now be booked for the following services:
- Cardiac Surgery
- Cardiology
- Endoscopy
- General Surgery
- Ophthalmology
- Orthopaedics
- Radiology
- Thoracic (Lung) Surgery
You can create a free account at any time but please give us at least 48 hours’ notice of your visit to ensure we can put arrangements in place.
Our team will receive an overview of your disability related access and communication requirements, allowing us to deliver a service that meets your needs.
We will be notified when you:
- book a visit; and
- arrive via the WelcoMe arrival button
WelcoMe visits are managed by our central Patient Coordination Centre which operates Monday to Friday from 8am - 6pm. WelcoMe visit requests recieved outside of this time will be processed on the next working day.
Why do I have to book in advance?
As the first hospital to introduce this service, we do not know what the demand is going to be.
The notice period ensures we can have any physical support and resources that you need, that we were not previously aware of, in place for you arriving on our site.
Even if you do not use WelcoMe, we are committed to providing a person-centred experience during your visit.
The use of WelcoMe is purely to enhance and provide a ‘belts and braces’ approach to the needs of our individual patients.
