Lung Surgery team
The Golden Jubilee National Hospital’s lung (thoracic) surgery department is staffed by an expert multidisciplinary team.
Throughout your journey at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital, you may be seen by the following individuals:
- Thoracic (lung) surgeons
- Chest physicians (lung specialists)
- Oncologists (cancer specialists)
- Anaesthetists
- Nurses (including Macmillan cancer support nurses)
- Physiotherapists
- Pharmacists

There are six consultant surgeons in the unit and their different areas of specialist interest cover all aspects of thoracic pathologies.

Patients are reviewed daily by a team of Nurse Practitioners and doctors in various stages of their surgical training. They are led by Dr Rohit Govindraj and report daily to the Consultants.
