Consultants and SAS doctors

NHS Golden Jubilee medical staff have access to a range of educational opportunities. Each Consultant/SAS doctor has dedicated time in their job plan for learning and development. In addition, each doctor has an allocation of study leave time and budget, so please discuss this with your line manager if you require further information.

Recognition of Training

We are a recognised clinical training centre for Foundation and Core Trainees, Specialty Registrars and Fellows. This training is only possible because of a team of dedicated Trainers. All trainers (Clinical and Educational Supervisors) require Recognition of Training status and each trainer will have dedicated time in their Job Plan for this role. A review of the trainers’ activities and their wider education role will be embedded in the annual Appraisal. Please encourage your Appraiser to review the educational component of your work.
