General information

Clinical waste

Inappropriately segregated waste costs the NHS money. NHS Assure has advised that on average approximately 30% of clinical waste disposed in an orange bag is actual clinical waste. With clinical waste disposal costing up to 3 times more than general or recycling waste, this has a significant financial, operational and environmental impact.
