Continuing Medical Education (CME) Days

A hospital-wide Continuing Medical Education (CME) day is held monthly. The day is set aside for various educational, audit, management and research activities. Most of these are departmental, but at lunch time the whole hospital comes together for the Grand Round. The Grand Round is open to all staff. Each month we will advertise the presenting Team and the Topic being discussed. This will include a wide range of talks including updates on different hospital teams, new research and innovation and external speakers.

Last year sessions included The use of Robots in Orthopedic Surgery, How to care for Neurodiverse Patients, How to prepare for the next pandemic and Preventing Sexual Harassment in the workplace. 

The DME administrator holds a record of the most up-to-date timetable and will advertise the CME via email and the hospital news pages.
