Service Manager for Cardiothoracic, Critical Care and the Scottish National Advanced Heart Failure Service (SNAHFs)
Amanda joined NHS Golden Jubilee as Service Manager for Cardiothoracic, Critical Care and the Scottish National Advanced Heart Failure Service (SNAHFs) in March 2020.
With more than 34 years’ experience working within the Health Service across a verity of clinical and non-clinical roles, Amanda brings a breadth of expertise to the Golden Jubilee.
Starting her career in nursing, Amanda has contributed to the improvement of patient care, working in medical receiving and cardiology in the Golden Jubilee Research Institute, specialising in Cardiac Rehabilitation and being part of the first ever group of British Heart Foundation Community Nurses to deliver cardiac rehabilitation and support to patients in East End of Glasgow after heart attack or heart surgery.
She progressed to set up Cardiac Rehabilitation Services across 4 acute hospital sites in Lincolnshire where she became Coronary Heart Disease Modernisation Lead.
Moving back to Scotland in 2006, Amanda worked in a range of improvement programmes and as Operational Manager in NHS Forth Valley.
